Antique Sandstone Spout & Basin Fountain

A powerful marriage of industrial copper and ancient hand-carved stone, this old fountain is a late 19th-century sandstone basin repurposed for the modern sanctuary. Standing 13 inches high, this trough features a deep, high-walled silhouette that provides a beautiful resonant chamber for the water's movement. Unlike the submerged "Zen" ripples of its counterparts, this configuration features a tall, over-the-rim copper spigot. This design allows the water to fall from a height into the basin, creating a lively visual and a more pronounced, "fountain-like" sound profile. The antique sandstone, naturally weathered to a warm, earthy gray, is exceptionally tactile and porous, developing a dark, rich character when wet. It is a "living" piece of architectural salvage that grounds a space with the weight of history.

The verticality of the copper spigot makes this an ideal centerpiece for an Organic Modern courtyard or a lush Modern Mediterranean garden.  This is an authentic 19th-century artifact carved from a monolithic sandstone block. It features centuries of natural weathering and authentic chisel marks. The base is authentically uneven; as such, shims will be required during installation to ensure a level water line and proper alignment with the copper spout.
